CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – October 7, 2021 -- The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority’s (VIEDA) Business Incubator Program invites parents, guardians and young people ages 11 through 18 to register for a Young CEO Camp led camp presenter and Small Business Camp President Andrew Morrison.  This Young CEO Camp will be held virtually, via Zoom.com, on Saturday, October 9th and Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 9AM to 3PM.

Virgin Islands – October 6, 2021 – To provide U.S. Virgin Islands entrepreneurs with information about how to become bonded and be awarded more contracts for local projects in the USVI, the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA), in partnership with the U.S. Economic Development Administration (U.S. EDA) and U.S. Small Business Administration (U.S. SBA), is hosting a free online workshop titled, “Preparing to Win: How to Access and Utilize the SBA’s Surety Bond Guarantee Program”. 

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U. S. Virgin Islands – September 20, 2021 – Wayne L. Biggs, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (“VIEDA”), announces that the VIEDA office in the District of St. Thomas-St. John in Nisky Center will be closed to the public from Wednesday, September 22 through Friday, September 24, 2021 due to work on repairing the air conditioner unit.

VIEDA employees will continue to work remotely during this period.

Biggs, Jr., chief executive officer of the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA), announces that Rosa Thomas has been hired as the new Assistant Chief Executive Officer of the VIEDA. Ms. Thomas joined the VIEDA effective Monday, September 13, 2021 and is located in the St. Thomas-St. John district. She will directly report to the VIEDA’s chief executive officer.

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – September 16, 2021 - To assist local entrepreneurs with learning how to globally market and export their products and services, the Enterprise Zone Commission (EZC) will host a free Export Training course for these entrepreneurs this weekend starting on Friday, September 17, 2021.

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – September 16, 2021 -- The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority’s Business Incubator Program will be launching a free Small Business Camp with presenter Andrew Morrison for adults and young entrepreneurs in September 2021.  Due to the global pandemic, this Small Business Camp will be held virtually.
