CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – June 3, 2015 - The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority announces the following regarding Governing Board Decision meetings and a public hearing scheduled for June 4, 2015 at the respective times:
Governing Board Decision Meetings:
Economic Development Bank: A decision meeting by the Economic Development Bank will be held at 8:30AM on applications and/or matters which may be brought to the appropriate Board for action. A V.I. Economic Development Authority meeting will also be held at 12:30PM.
Economic Development Commission: A decision meeting by the Economic Development Commission will be held at 1:30PM for decisions on applications submitted by Diamond Rock Frenchman’s Owner, Inc. d/b/a Frenchman’s Reef and Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort; Daily News Publishing Co., Inc.; and Amalie Global, Inc. All interested persons are notified in accordance with law.
The VIEDA Board of Directors and its subsidiary Board(s) may go into executive session with respect to any decision at any time during the meeting in accordance with law.
Any person, firm or corporation that is interested in the approval or disapproval of the application may appear and be heard provided that a written statement is submitted at least one (1) day prior to the hearing to the Chief Executive Officer of the V.I. Economic Development Authority at No. 116 King St., Frederiksted, St. Croix, USVI 00840; or via facsimile to (340) 773-7701.
Public Hearing:
Economic Development Commission: A public hearing by the Economic Development Commission is scheduled for 9:00AM regarding applications for tax benefits submitted by Castle Medical Holding, Inc. and Spectrum Engineering, Inc.
