CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – May 27, 2015 - The V.I. Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) announces the following:
Public Hearing: A public hearing by the Economic Development Commission is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the VIEDA at 8000 Nisky Shopping Center, Suite 620, St. Thomas, USVI, and via video conference feed to the Virgin Islands Economic Development Park at No. 4 Negro Bay, Bldg. No. 2, in Frederiksted, St. Croix, USVI on an application for tax benefits submitted by Perpetual Motions.
Governing Board Decision Meeting: A decision meeting by the Economic Development Commission will immediately follow the public hearing for decisions on applications submitted by Amalie Global, Inc.; Daily News Publishing Co., Inc.; Diamond Rock Frenchman’s Owner, Inc. d/b/a Frenchman’s Reef and Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort; Secret Harbour Beach Resorts Associates, LLLP; St. Thomas Nursing Home Prime, LP d/b/a Sea View Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility; and B&B Manufacturing, Inc. A Governing Meeting will also be held to resolve compliance matters for the following businesses: Asset Recovery Management, Inc.; Caribbean Reservations, Inc.; Galtere, Inc. and Southern Hills Financial, LLLP. A decision meeting is also scheduled for the Economic Development Bank on applications and/or matters which may be brought to the appropriate Board for action.
The decision meeting will be held at the aforesaid locations. All interested persons are notified in accordance with law.
The VIEDA Board of Directors and its subsidiary Board(s) may go into executive session with respect to any decision at any time during the meeting in accordance with law. Any person, firm or corporation that is interested in the approval or disapproval of the application may appear and be heard provided that a written statement is submitted at least one (1) day prior to the hearing to the Chief Executive Officer of the V.I. Economic Development Authority at No. 116 King St., Frederiksted, St. Croix, USVI 00840; or via facsimile to (340) 773-7701.
