As many of you are aware, the Economic Aid to Hard-Hit Small Businesses, Nonprofits, and Venues Act (the Economic Aid Act) reauthorized SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program and provided additional federal resources available to support small business owners as they endure economic impacts of COVID-19. SBA is committed to ensuring the programs we are authorized to provide under the Economic Aid Act reach all USVI businesses in need of assistance at this time. In that vein, SBA will be offering regular seminars to provide information and answer questions on PPP, EIDL and other programs authorized under the Economic Aid Act specifically. The next one is scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, 2021 at 10 AM AST. It will be hosted by the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) in partnership wtih Small Business Administration (SBA).
The availability of these programs has a limited timeframe, therefore, we appreciate any assistance our suggestions you can provide to ensure the programs authorized under the Economic Aid Act are widely understood in the USVI.
