Webinar: Small Business at Work ADA Toolkit

The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (USVIEDA) in partnership with the Disability Rights Center of the Virgin Islands (DRCVI) are celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) this October by providing small businesses in the territory a new webinar training, entitled, “Small Business at Work Toolkit” on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 10:00am.

 

This toolkit, developed by the Northeast ADA Center out of Cornell University, focuses on such topics as, making business sense with inclusion, definition of disability including invisible, productivity, hiring and more.  This training will give small business owners a preview to a wealth of resources and how to access it based on your business needs.

 

This webinar will be conducted via Zoom, a software-based platform for video and audio communications, and can also be viewed LIVE through Facebook livestream at www.facebook.com/usvieda. We are inviting the small business community to register in advance for the webinar at  https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZwsde2przorHNNgRt_a_PLyFnk3Ea6KYXVY.

 

Upon registration, individuals will receive an email with details on how to join the webinar.

 

This webinar will feature main presenter, Shammi Carr, DRCVI Advocate, who conducts trainings to parent/parent support groups and works with various employment entities such as VI Department of Labor, Vocational Rehab along with business organizations. 

 

A Q&A portion will be available at the end of the presentation for inquiries by participants via Zoom and Facebook LIVE.
