VIEDA to host free webinar on Export-Import Bank resources to export business products, services

 

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U. S. Virgin Islands – September 11, 2020 -- The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) will host an informational webinar with the Export-Import Bank (EXIM) on assistance and resources for business exporting activities. This webinar titled, “Why Your Company Should be Exporting, No Matter How Small the Business", will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 via Zoom, a software-based platform for video and audio communications. The webinar can also be viewed LIVE through Facebook livestream at www.facebook.com/usvieda.

The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) is an independent Executive Branch and official export credit agency of the United States with a mission of supporting American jobs by facilitating the export of U.S. goods and services.

EXIM "fills in the gap for American businesses by equipping them with the financing tools necessary to compete for global sales when private sector lenders are unable or unwilling to provide financing."

Small business owners will learn how to:

  • Offer CREDIT TERMS to their foreign buyers
  • Access FUNDS with EXIM’s Working Capital Loan Guarantee
  • PROTECT against nonpayment by your foreign buyers”
