Under the direct supervision of the Managing Director, Economic Development, this position conducts preliminary interview with potential and existing Economic Development Commission (EDC) and other USVIEDA incentive program clients. Additionally, this position is responsible for evaluating applications, conducting online research, and making telephone contacts with EDC clients and attorneys on submitted applications.
Under the general supervision of the General Counsel, the Associate General Counsel in the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (“VIEDA”) provides senior management with advice on legal matters, their implementation and effects. This position performs legal research, gives legal advice, prepares legal briefs, develops administrative regulations, drafts and reviews proposed legislation, provides legal and policy analysis of issues, and administers contracts. The Associate General Counsel may represent the Authority in various proceedings.
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Compliance Officer, this position observes compliance activities of tax exempt eligible companies under the EDC programs and of Beneficiaries and Eligible Virgin Islands Suppliers. Additionally, maintains records and conducts site visits
