Representatives of the U.S. Virgin Islands attended the National Governor’s Association (NGA) Initiative Summit titled, “America Works: Education and Training for Tomorrow’s Jobs in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This summit was held from November 4-5, 2013. According to NGA, summit participants worked toward defining the problem of aligning education, workforce and economic development systems with the needs of employers and then identified solutions by sharing the work of states.
